PEG-MGF (5mg): Product Description
PEG-MGF is a pegylated research form of Mechano Growth Factor, an IGF-1 splice-variant-associated peptide. Pegylation refers to the attachment of polyethylene glycol to a peptide construct. This modification changes the material’s physicochemical properties and may affect stability, solubility and experimental persistence compared with the corresponding non-pegylated peptide.
Controlled laboratory studies involving PEG-MGF may examine IGF-associated signaling, cellular responses to mechanical stress, protein–receptor interactions and pathways related to cellular repair, proliferation and differentiation. These research areas describe experimental mechanisms only and do not establish therapeutic efficacy or suitability for administration.
PEG-MGF does not have one universal molecular formula or molecular weight unless the size and attachment site of the PEG chain are precisely specified. The peptide portion and PEG component must be characterized separately, and the complete conjugate’s mass depends on the manufacturer’s construct. For this reason, publishing a definitive formula without reviewing the Certificate of Analysis could be misleading.
